Yves Vanderhaeghe: "Our organisation was there. Too bad we were not rewarded"

Despite the loss, Coach Yves Vanderhaeghe looked back on his group's performance after the game with satisfaction. A penalty in the final stages of the match sent Cercle home empty-handed: "When you come to Ghent, the task is to try and curb their offensive qualities. We were well organised, and gave away almost no chances. We even had the better opportunities: in the first half with Pavlovic and in the second half with Hoggas. Just a bit of luck and belief was missing. If we score, we will win the match. The only thing I found less today, and you also saw that in our game at Genk, is that we did not do enough in ball recuperation. A working point."

No Jupiler Pro League football this weekend: due to the international break, Yves Vanderhaeghe's troops will have to wait until 4 April to respond. "To remain combative: if you can put such a team performance on the mat and show the mentality that we have shown, we absolutely cannot give up. And we have no intention of doing so."
